I grew up on Long Island surrounded by woods and nature. My parents were avid naturalists – especially focused on birdwatching. I spent my senior year of high school in New Zealand where I was exposed to a land of beauty and such a variety of experiences.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from McGill University, and my MS degree in Early Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education.

My working life has consisted mostly of teaching – first preschool, then middle school art. I also love to read, and have a part-time job working at my local bookstore.

I have travelled quite a bit across the US, to the National Parks and Museums, to Europe, including Iceland. I’ve been to two mission trips to Kenya with a bonus safari trip at the end.

I have a studio space and am presently on the board of The Loft Artists Association in Stamford.
